When the station first opened in 1897, Primrose Cottage was the Station Master's office, Ticket Hall and Waiting Room. These have now been sympathetically converted into a very comfortable and inviting country cottage with a warm and homely feel without losing that 'railway' heritage.
Whitwell is renowned for its unrivalled beauty, being an outstanding holiday destination throughout the year, and our self-catering cottages are an increasingly popular choice of holiday accommodation.

The charge point is for the exclusive use of our guests. The connection is untethered, type 2, with maximum power output of 7.2kW.
The charger operates on a pay-as-you-go system, set at a reasonable tariff, giving you the flexibility to charge your vehicle with ease through either the voltshare app or app-less. Plus, there’s the added peace of mind of voltshare’s 24/7 support.
